VAL .....OR NO VAL? (YOU CAN LOVE RIGHT NOW)

VAL........ OR NO VAL?

'Baby, no Valentine’s day'
It’s that time of the year again when there is love and so many gifts in the air. We show love and give gifts during Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving et. c but Valentine is different. It is the day you have the opportunity to express your love to your spouse or anyone you are in a romantic relationship with. You may express your love to so many people around but that one person cannot be left out, you cannot afford to say to that one person -'Baby, no Valentine’s day'.

But how is it that some people dread Valentine's day even though in a relationship? Well,
I know of some others who are excited about Valentine and they would just be the best and do the best that they possibly can but permit me to zoom-in on the  former category - those who hate to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

It’s not because they lost a dear one on Valentine’s Day last year neither is it because they were dumped on Valentine's Day some years ago but because they think that they do not have enough money. Since Valentine involves giving gifts and having expensive meals, it reminds them once again of one good reason they should have delayed their commitment. This is a notion common among guys just as you saw in the previous article -.......Breaking News!

So you are beginning to sweat in your palms at the thought of Valentine’s Day, if you would buy her a befitting gift and take her to dinner, then you just might scrape out your savings account.

First of all, admit it and face it, valentine is here and she is gradually building up her expectations. This is not the time to regret making a commitment and this is not the time to envy your friends/colleagues who (for useless reasons) have refused to get into a relationship. Truth be told, you are in a far better place than they are. Nothing justifies an eligible bachelor who will not date again/love again. Better to marry than to burn....Paul says (1 Cor 7:9).

1 day in February isn't special but you are.
My simple advice is that you do something simple to express your love, something you can afford. On a second thought, won’t it be nice to do something simple every day, every week or every month, to be deliberate about your show of love to you heartthrob. That way, you will not have to fret at the thought of Valentine, you would have mastered the art of giving gifts and you will constantly feel appreciated.

It is okay to step out and love again, your economic situation notwithstanding. Not every lady is as materialistic as you have been told. You may be on a job that is not well paying but this should not stop you from starting a relationship with the lady of your dreams whom you have found. For who hath despised the day of small things? ....Zach 4:10.

Having prayed and sought for counsel and you have seen that all the coasts are clear, let nothing else stop you. You can start that relationship; do not be afraid of starting small -From small beginnings come great things.

whoever watches the wind will not plant, whoever looks at the cloud will never harvest- Ecc11:14. St. Valentine did not allow anything or anyone (Emperor Claudius)to stand in the way of true love. He kept on joining couples, he did not wait for a right time. He did not withhold himself from loving the Prison Guard's daughter.

Val or no Val.......just love .....just give.......like right now
