MY 1-HOUR HALLELUYAH CHALLENGE

The 1 hour Halleluyah challenge is here again. I am super excited about it and millions of Nigerians are excited  too. As much as I enjoyed the just concluded 40 day edition in July and even made my way to the grand finale at Glitz Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. I am glad that we would be going for just 21 days this time around.

For a moment, I actually wished he could allot only 30 minutes each day. Don’t blame me, the reason is because the entire experience was enjoyable but a little bit stressful. There were days that data finished, internet service was poor, battery died, Instagram just refused to do ‘live’ and to crown it all, I came down with malaria after I returned from the grand finale at 3:00AM and still had to be in the office at 8:00 AM.

This time, I believe there are some things that I can do better, and I would like to share them with you.

If it is your first time, I enjoin you to follow some of the advice I have stated below and the 21-day Halleluyah challenge will be truly rewarding for you..

DOWNLOAD INSTAGRAM ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE
After you have downloaded this app from your mobile phone play store, ensure that you follow Nathniel bassey and that you know how live video can be viewed. If you are unable to view live video at midnight after you have clicked on the appropriate icon, do not fuss, neither be upset, try to uninstall the app and download a fresh updated version, or do an upgrade of the existing one. If the problem continues, then the phone you are using may not me compatible, you may consider changing to another device.

RECHARGE YOUR PHONE WITH SUFFICIENT DATA
Because you will consume more data than you normally would use, you will have to purchase  airtime  sufficient to subscribe for data from your internet network provider. Click here ---> http://tinyurl.com/ybhycxo6 to see how to subscribe for data on all networks and various packages.

BE DELIBERATE ABOUT CHARGING YOUR BATTERY
Please do not use up your battery during day because you assume there will be power to re-charge it when you get home before it’s time to pray. You still live in Nigeria, darling.

SET YOUR ALARM
You may want to set your alarm to wake you up by 11:50PM. This will avail you 10 minutes to fully come out of sleep and prepare both physically, psychologically and emotionally. Beware though, that this is the point also, where you are likely to fall back into a deeper sleep and not wake until your alarm goes off again at 5:00AM in the morning.

GIVE
This is the time to show love and demonstrate what Jesus says….. and When you pray ……. and When you fast……..  and When you give - Mathew 15.
Surprise someone who is also eager to participate in this exercise by sending them airtime top ups. You may not have to inform them that the top up is  from you.

HAVE A PLAN
You need to have a plan on how to feed your spirit. A devotional guide can come in handy. At this period, you need to move beyond reading a verse a day to keep the devil away

BE READY TO WRITE
Keep a pen and Jotter close to you daily during this exercise. There may be some songs to note down and inject into your routine personal  praise and worship (Nathaniel Bassey has a

special way of twicking songs and making very meaningful variations out of regular songs e.g ‘blessing and honour belongs to You - my Halleluyah belongs to you), some Bible Verses to note down, as well as prayer points you may want to dwell on a little bit longer during the day.

SLEEP EARLY
In order to avoid fatigue and laziness that might prevent you from getting up to participate, you will need to go to bed early enough. This exercise actually would disrupt the ‘rest-setting’ that has naturally been programmed in your body system. Hence you need to make up for that one hour.

IN CASE YOU MISS A ONE-NIGHT ROUND
Please do not bother looking for the recorded edition on Instagram or YouTube. The very likely platform to find a recorded edition is on Nathaniel Bassey’s Facebook page. Type Nathaniel Bassey –Official in the face book search engine and click ‘like’ on that page.
